Or just stop and visit us! We’re in downtown Hummelstown, just down the street from the Warwick Hotel, and we're open during normal business hours.

For our advertising rate cards...

Note to ad agencies: The rate shown on our local rate card is our "net" rate.

For event announcements and press releases, please be sure to include the basics: Who, What, When, Where and Why. (For example: The Trinity United Methodist Youth will hold a bake sale on June 4 in the parking lot of Trinity United Methodist Church at 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown, to raise money for their annual mission trip.)

Then send it to news@thesunontheweb.com. The deadline for event announcements is Sunday at 5 p.m.

For engagement and wedding announcements, email all the appropriate information to us at news@thesunontheweb.com. And be sure to send us a nice, big photo of the happy couple!

By the way, The Sun doesn't charge for wedding and engagement announcements. Also, to help you gather all the appropriate information, you can download these announcement forms...

You don't need to fill out the actual form. It's just there to help you gather your thoughts.

P.S. We also do birth announcements free of charge. Again, just send a nice, big photo and all the basic info to news@thesunontheweb.com.

For obituaries, send the text and a photo to news@thesunontheweb.com. We do not charge for obituaries that are less than 150 words, and we do not charge to include photos with obituaries.

If you're looking for obituaries for geneology research, copies of The Sun going back to the 1800s are available at the Hummelstown Area Historical Society. Visit http://www.hummelstownhistoricalsociety.org

For Letters to the Editor, keep it local, keep it civil and keep it short (under 300 words). Also, please let us know where we can contact you, day or night, to confirm the source of the text.

Then just send it to news@thesunontheweb.com. We reserve the right to accept or reject any submission, but we're open to all kinds of views!
