In the Holy Bible Satan is mentioned 66 times. The term means “accuser,” “opponent,” “adversary,” or “arch enemy.” In the New Testament he is called the devil 34 times. The term indicates one who is diabolical; a slanderer, a traducer. In all the above references he is not only named but he is shown to be a personal being.
