Donald E. and Judith F. (Fromm) Lieberknecht celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 19, 2011, with a dinner at the Hotel Hershey.
The Lieberknechts were married May 19, 1961, by the late Rev. Paul A. Trump at Zion Lutheran Church, Hummelstown. Full Story

Addy Gross and Justin Rummel were married April 30, 2011, at Sugarloaf Mountain in Dickerson, Md.
The bride is the daughter of Joe and Sue Gross of Hummelstown. She is a graduate of Lower Dauphin High School and The University of Vermont. She is employed as a Deputy National Finance Director for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Full Story

In the ninth century before Christ, the captain of Benhadad, king of Syria, had achieved great victories for the king. The captain’s name was Naaman, and his people held him in very high esteem. LD Holds Off Hempfield, 4-3
Lower Dauphin lefty Casey Kulina took a three-run lead into the seventh inning Tuesday night, May 24, but needed the right arms of reliever Joe Patton and third baseman Clay Thrasher to secure a 4-3 win over Hempfield at Wenger Field in Fredericksburg in the District 3-AAAA baseball playoffs. Emily J. (Roberts) Barto, 84, of Hershey, passed away peacefully with family by her side Sunday, May 15, 2011, at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. She was born Saturday, March 26, 1927, in Harrisburg, to the late George E. and Vera (Yohe) Roberts. She and her loving husband Richard R. Barto would have celebrated 61 years of marriage this June 17. Full Story
