From Where I Sit

Thought I’d catch up on some local happenings before finishing off our annual Ocracoke trip and vacation. Defi­nitely had enough of hurricanes for awhile. As we left Ocra­coke on Monday, August 22, Hurricane Irene was forming in the Atlantic and soon came up the coast, giving us some drenching rain and high winds here.
