Nobody knows how Kenneth Harbold’s car ended up in the raging floodwaters along the Swatara Creek after he went missing Tuesday, Sept. 6, but it was likely a harrowing ordeal.

Derry Resident Dies in Flood
The flooding in Sun Country has claimed the life of a 71-year-old Derry Township resident, Derry Township Police said.
Ralph T. Griffith was attempting to pump water out of the basement of his home on Grove Street in Hershey when a wall collapsed on him, police said. Full Story
Dog Bites Boy In Derry Township
A 17-year-old boy was reportedly bitten by a dog sometime around 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Brookside Park in Derry Township.
In information sent to The Sun through a family member, it was reported the boy was bitten by a Husky after the dog chased him at the park. Full Story

LD Turf Field
Lower Dauphin School District athletic director Dave Bitting said original plans to have the turf field ready by Friday are off.
The three areas where sinkholes occurred were: one near the players’ benches, about a 20x20 foot section; and two smaller sections along the fence near on the bleachers’ side, which is where the drainage is prevalent. Full Story
