Hershey High 'Live Rounds' Incident

We have received this “parent notification” statement from Derry Township School District:

Hello, this is Dr. Richard Faidley, Superintendent of Derry Township School District. Because effective communication between home and school is essential, I am calling to inform you of a weapons policy violation detected on our campus.
 
At the conclusion of last evening’s high school ski club trip, several live rounds of ammunition were discovered. The Derry Township Police Department has been contacted and an investigation is underway. Because this matter is under active investigation, we cannot disclose additional specifics. We are following district policy and our reporting obligations in our handling of this matter. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students is our highest priority.
