UPDATE: Expensive Handbags, Jewelry, Cash Stolen From Homes in Conewago and Derry Townships

Police said jewelry, expensive handbags and more than $5,000 in cash was stolen from the 100 block of Woodbine Drive in Conewago Township.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the burglary occurred sometime between 6 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31.


Police said the suspect(s) entered the home through a window and stole a Louis Vuitton, Chanel, two Saint Laurent and two Celine handbags, along with $12,000 worth of jewelry.


Police said the value of the items stolen from the house totaled $28,100.


Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call PSP trooper Corman at 671-7500.

Derry Township police have issued a statement concerning three additional thefts:


The Derry Township Police Department is currently investigating three residential burglaries that occurred during the daytime hours on August 31, 2017.  The areas involved were the Jacob's Creek, Southpoint, and Briarcrest residential developments.  At this time, the total value of items taken is not known, but most of the stolen property is either cash or jewelry.  Anyone who may have information, or may have noticed suspicious persons and/or vehicles in the those developments on August 31st are encouraged to contact Sergeant Greg Day at (717) 534-2202.
