Hershey’s ChocolateTown Square Park will be abuzz Saturday, Oct. 14, noon-6 p.m., for the third annual Choctoberfest featuring food, brews, wine, music and, of course, chocolate, along with local craft beer, chocolate, and delicious food from Downtown Hershey restaurants.

Foodies can enjoy specialties from some of Hershey’s favorite restaurants and food vendors like Houlihan’s, Hershey Biergarten, The Mill in Hershey, The Pantry Café at The Hershey Story, Fenicci’s of Hershey, Chocolate Avenue Grill, and Smoked Bar & Grill. Rogue Popcorn and Gourmet Popcorn of Carlisle will be there too with snacks

Beverages flowing onsite include Tröegs Independent Brewing, St. Boniface Craft Brewing Company, Tattered Flag Brewery, and Howling Henry’s as well as cider from The Vineyard at Hershey and wines from Olivero’s Vineyard.

What would a Choctoberfest be without chocolate? There will be chocolate from The Hershey Company, Scharffen Berger, Small Town Fudge, Grove’s Brittle Works, and Chocolates by Tina Marie.

This free, family-friendly fall festival will also have an array of family and children’s activities and great live music.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m., No Last Call Street Band, a crazy, madcap “hit and run band” will share its big brass sound and driving percussion, followed at 1:45 p.m. by Conrad Fisher, an energetic old soul whose band plays music steeped in Americana roots. At 3:15 p.m., Erica

Lyn Everest Band takes the stage with jazz and blues, followed at 5 p.m. by Girls, Guns

& Glory, a critically acclaimed country band.

Elizabethtown, for the past six years, owners Amy Kreamer and

Lori Hawthorne are expanding their restaurant holdings to include Fire Alley, 1144 Cocoa Ave., Hershey.

“We have wanted to open a second location for quite some time and this was a perfect opportunity,” Kreamer said, “We will still be keeping the location in E-town.

“We appreciate the excitement from so many people and are looking forward to making it happen,” she said.
