Kenneth R. “Rusty” Booth, 54, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, in the Hershey Medical Center.
Born in San Diego, CA, on September 26, 1967, he was the son of Carolyn E. Noel Baker wife of Herbert C. of Tyner, NC, and the late James Booth.
Rusty was an automotive technician for Don’s Performance Corner, Harrisburg, since 2012. He was a dedicated and very active member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 265, Hummelstown, where he served as the Second Vice Commander. Rusty was also a Social Member of both the American Legion Post 265, Hummelstown, and the Hershey VFW Post 3502. Rusty enjoyed bowling with his wife in the Thursday Night Mixed League at the ABC North Lanes. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Flyers fan.
In addition to his mother, Rusty was survived by his wife, Patricia L. Plecker Booth; his children, Jonathan Booth (Deanna Coburn), and Ashley Booth (Darrell Dion Williams, Jr.) both Crestview, FL; a step-son, Tyler James Garrett of Hummelstown; two grandsons, Nollie Russell Booth and Darrell Dion Williams, III; four sisters, Brenda F. Clark (Michael) of Harrogate, England, Candi Jo Carter (Tim) of Beeville, TX, Cheryl Best of Pontiac, MI, and Teri McDow of Sulfur Springs, TX; one brother, Dennis P. Zimmerman of Altoona; and two nephews, Dustin A. Fish of Edgewater, MD, and Norman D. Fish of Davidson, MD.
A celebration of Rusty’s life will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 3 p.m. in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Friends are invited to visit with the family, Friday in the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Son’s of the American Legion memorial service will be held Friday at 2:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
