2019, surrounded by family.

Suzanne is survived by her devoted husband, William “Bill” Kuhn Jr., and sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Angela Mattis from Halifax, Brian and Sherry Mattis from Sunbury, Ohio, and Brian and Alison Kuhn from Harleysville. She is also survived by her cherished eight grandchildren, Heather and her husband Adam Kline, Garret Mattis, Kara and her husband Donald Thompson III, Bailey Mattis, Bethany and her husband Robert Kile, Lacey Mattis, Clara Kuhn, and Eliza Kuhn, six great-grandchildren, Dustin, Mason and Scarlett Kline, Reagan Thompson, Caimbriah and Charleigh Mattis, three fur babies, Gordon Setter “Huck,” English Setter “Bella,” and cat “Finley,” and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members.

Suzanne was born on Nov. 28, 1948, in Williamsport. She was the daughter of predeceased and beloved parents, Baylies D. and Lois M. Macy, and was the second of three children, sister to her older surviving brother Frederick B. Macy and younger surviving brother Baylies “Dean” Macy Jr.

After a long and successful career in health insurance, Suzanne retired as a Medical Policy Analyst from Highmark in Camp Hill. In retirement, she would continue her lifelong dedication to supporting and caring for her family and others.

In life, Suzanne treasured her time with family most and was passionate about meeting the needs of those she loved, as well as helping others in need. Whether spending the day with or cooking meal favorites for her husband, family, friends, and others, teaching the family her incredible baking and knitting skills passed down from prior generations before, selflessly and tirelessly shopping for that special someone, or just being there to talk with a friend in need, she was always passionate in serving others first. Her loving spirit is exemplified in her favorite quote, “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, As long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.” – Robert N. Munsch, Love You Forever.

Suzanne also loved to travel, especially to relive her family heritage on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and enjoyed experiencing the beauty of nature, from flying around Mt. Denali National Park in Alaska, seeing volcanos in Hawaii, skiing the Appalachian Mountains, scuba diving the coral reefs in Bonaire, walking the beaches in New England, or simply gardening with family at home. Other experiences enjoyed most through the years included researching her Macy family genealogy, oil painting, boating and camping, arts and crafts, eating fresh New England seafood, homemade sweets, and ice-creams, hanging out and weekend trips with friends, and raising a variety of pets.

Those who knew her best would say Suzanne was a selfless giver, she loved others unconditionally, she was a fighter, extremely resourceful and multitalented, she loved life and was a whole lot of fun! She will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, beginning with a visitation at 10 a.m., followed by services at 11 a.m., in her church, the Hershey Church of the Nazarene, 986 East Governor Road, Hershey.
